    Im dry!

Worth every penny. My first time using it, I went on a family camping trip and got stuck in an unexpected storm. Total downpour rain and winds. Of course the screened area in the front was flooded by morning but I had absolutely no moisture of any kind inside the tent, meanwhile the other people I went with all woke up floating in water. I love this tent!

Spacious and easy to set up

    Easy setup and lightweight

Screen room should have better protection from rain.

Whole tent is very sturdy and well made. However when I was buying I didnt check that screen room which is without protection from the rain. Therefore, I will suggest to buy extra rain tarp to cover the front.

It is a tent... and all that goes with it. Good budget tent. Nice fair weather porch

The best attribute of this tent is also its weak link. The screen porch is freakin awesome. My wife, I and two small kids can comfortably sit in the screened in area in our camp chairs. As kids get older that wont be the case. The semi cover for the screened in porch is not good in rain. So the porch is for fair weather only. And when it rains, even stuff up under the partial cover will still get wet as the floor will catch a lot of water and it runs around. If you are slopped away from the main compartment you might keep some dry spots right up against the tent. There are vents/holes up close to the main compartment for water to drain rather than just collect in this area, there is a full on mesh strip at the leading edge where the door is. The bag we got has a stitch in it you can easily (designed to) pop to give it a lot more room than it comes in initially which makes packing things up markedly easier. It is a 3 pole setup and requires some staking to be stable. Once it is at least minimally staked it seems fairly stable and likely to stand up to mild to moderate winds... but not sure beyond that. If you correctly did all the guy-lines I imagine it would do fairly well to a point. Stitching is not super high quality. Have used it 3 times and have some areas coming undone... par for the course with products in my experience. Nothing critical so far. Got it on sale and for the price (~100$) it is hard to complain to much. Plenty of room for family of 4 with gear and that is NOT counting stashing anything in the screened in portion. Would be comfortable for 4 adults. With 2 small kids it is overkill really. Do not really know on the weather proof front as the 3 nights I have had in it have been pretty nice and only one small shower. But I have never met a tent that is intact that you cant solve leaks with liberal use of scotch guard and seam sealer... something Id recommend doing each season anyway. Material is fairly lightweight, wouldnt want to use this in cold weather without really good sleeping bag. Ventilation is great without the fly on, decent with the fly on provided you stake out the guy-lines to keep needed paths open for wind to move up under it.

    The best tent hands down!

We have had this tent for a couple of years now. I have already made my decision that if something happens to it I will buy another one just like it. We went camping down at a river in NC and it rained so hard you could feel the water rushing underneath the tent. It was scary, if we had not tied it down we probably would have floated off into the river! Not one drop of water ever entered our tent though! Everything we had inside stayed completely dry! The porch on the front is just another bonus!

    Nice tent. Get one!!

Nice tent all around. Pretty easy to set up but can be somewhat of a challenge to get back in the bag. Used it about four times now and Im happy with it. Was in a drenching downpour and stayed perfectly dry. The screen room got wet but was not a big deal. Would recommend this tent.

Good tent, fair size for two and no issues

It is not light weight, but lighter than canvas. I weather proofed it prior, and it poured buckets but didnt leak. I did not think it out with rain and the screened in area which I wish I had. Put a thick tarp over that area and half tent and there were no issues. We were cold 80% of the night since the whole back of the tent to roof is screen minus bottom portion and it was 40°. Very good sturdy tent for summer camping, even in rain(minus porch) kept us dry all night, stayed in place even in the two storms. Easy to put up and take down. Nothing wrong with tent, but side note know that the stakes that come with most tents will not hold, and will pull out of ground in wind. Order some while you are ordering tent, I did and was able to use the others for tarp, and take extra guy line or rope you never know.

Our new home after hurricane Laura.

Bought this tent months ago for a camping trip with the family. Covid 19 happened and it never happened. My brand new Colman 8 person tent was sitting up in our closet collecting dust. Fast forward to August 27th 2020. Hurricane Laura tore through Southern Louisiana. We have been fortunate to not have too much damage. Our power is out however and will be out for weeks. Sooooo. We are camping in our back yard . The tent is great! Roomy. Big enough for our queen air mattress with headboard. Also the tent breaths really well. Even with this hot humid heat, we can relax inside with the widows open. We have to rainfly up due to the fact in the mornings the humidity is high and there is due everywhere. Also Louisiana thunderstorms are extremely unpredictable. It rained once sense we set it up and i have to say. None of our things inside the tent got a drop on them. However if your have things on the porch they will get wet. One minor glitch however. (And its strictly on me for not preparing the area properly) but make sure to lay down a blanket and/or tarp before setting up your tent. I looked over the spot before I set up the tent for roots and twigs and stuff. The area seemed clear. However after the third night camping out, I noticed a small root wearing away the material where we walk in the tent. Its not a bad hole, but itll definitely need patching later. All in all. We love this tent. Its a great place to have when you have to rough it after a hurricane ripped through your neighborhood. Turned our unfortunate disaster into an adventure for the family.

    Spacious and good for rain!

Bought this tent to replace our small, old, leaky tent. The second night we used it, it stormed like crazy and we stayed completely dry (except the the screen porch, obviously). Very spacious for two adults and two big dogs that need their own beds!
