This is a beautiful bed set looks great feels good under you at night came quick undamaged the directions where CRAP just plan HORRIBLE after about 4 hours i got the bed frame together and it looked great but for the price that was set for it. Its not worth it there is not much at all to it and there is no head board u can make sum/thin like this for cheaper out of ply wood and 2x4s
I ordered this platform it came in a beat up halfway opened box and had no instructionsso exactly how I am supposed to put this together I have no idea.
Instructions were way too complicated. I had to drill holes where there were supposed to be holes. But the instructions were the kicker. They needed to be more in latent terms. Good thing I am an engineer. Or else my son would not have figured them out.
This frame was a pain to put together; it took two people for the final piece to be installed. The frame looks nice, but it doesnt look like it could withstand a move.
This bed matches so well with my 7 year old girls nice pieces of furniture from pottery Barn kids and some from local stores. Cheap but not looks so cheap. It is heavy and sturdy as other reviews. I strongly recommend this product who wants to spend less for a simple look bed still sturty. It was little hard to assemble by myself/petite size mom/ taking 4 hours.
For the material matter, I was very happy to see the Made in Canana lebel instead somewhere east asia which always comes with bad and mysterious chemical smell.
I have been using this since 11/2 years and this product works just fine, it did give me a hard time installing it as few planks were not cut properly hence took me a while to set this thing up. I bought it based on the price for the price it did not disappoint. I recommend this for people leaving in dorms or thinking of a temporary solution.
First Off! Packaged Very Badly!!2 Instructions For Assembly Very Vague3 Product Made Of Pressed Particle Board!!And Not Very Well.
4 Hardware Included Was Missing Pieces!! I Would Never Recomend This Product To AnyOne!
Although i am very happy with the cost and solidity of this bed / if you follow the instructions, there is not enough clearance between the floor and the platform to install the trimming on the edge of the platform with a normal sized screwdriver. I am not sure it is possible to complete the task with a power/drill even. If you purchase this product, be sure to put the edging on the outerplanks BEFORE you attach them to the base.
Other than this, the instructions were easy/to/follow. I am a woman of 53 with a medium build and was able to put it together, except for the aforementioned molding, by myself with merely a screwdriver and the included hardware. Took about 1.5 hrs on my own.
more than some assembly required. I bought this because I though it would be a better alternative to a traditional box spring and bed frame, but I am beginning to think otherwise. It took four hours to assemble, and the quality is not nearly what I expected. Cheap wood, flimsy when put together, and not easy to assemble where you plan on putting it, but you can not easily move it once it is assembled because it is so flimsy. be cautious.
First, packaging. Miserable. I nearly clawed my fingers raw opening the box and removing the protective pieces of cardboard. It seemed a little silly since the original box was completely falling apart before I even touched it and lots of the pieces had large scrapes on it with several corners broken. Its particleboard, but is painted pretty well. The instructions were difficult to follow and vague (just pictures, very few instructions) and I wound up dismantling the bed several times before figuring it out. But when it came time to putting on the boards and the molding, none of the holes were predrilled. This meant that you had to screw them in by hand to the wood. With nothing but a screwdriver when it specifically says drill not required. After 30+ screws, my hands were covered in blisters and my arm tendons were killing me. It was miserable to set up. My partner was helping and he was miserable as well. And once that was set up, it turned out that the single package of screws had two different sized screws that werent labeled or separated. The bed ended up only being shoddily assembled due to extreme difficulty/frustration. If I had known that ahead of time I would have bought a different bed. Im no stranger to flat packed furniture, but this is the worst assembly Ive ever had to do. It gets two stars instead of one because it does look nice now that its set up. Im good at building things and putting together furniture, but this bed is the worst to build.
